Hitman: Codename 47 is a stealth video game developed by IO Interactive and published by Eidos Interactive. It was released in November 2000 exclusively for Microsoft Windows. It is the debut title of the Hitman franchise. The game is presented from a third-person perspective and revolves around the stealthy assassination of targets through the use of disguises and suppressed weapons, although some levels are more action-oriented and do not present camouflage as a possibility.The players control Agent 47, a genetically enhanced human clone rigorously trained in murder methods.
